On bladders and empathy

I mentioned in an earlier blog post my "incommodious squeezed bladder".  I have been averaging three trips to the toilet a night since week 7 or so.  This is hardly ideal behaviour for getting one's beauty sleep but perhaps all part of God's plan to help me prepare for the nighttime interruptions TTT will bring.  Jon, who used to, like me, sleep the whole night through, has been accompanying me to the toilet on at least one of my three visits each night.  Might he be intuitively expressing his solidarity with my pregnant symptoms via an "empathy wee"?

Over the holidays, Jon and I caught up on a British comedy TV series we recently got to like called Miranda.  In episode 2 of series 2 we were introduced to the phenomenon of the "empathy wee" (the scene starts at 5 minutes 30 seconds in of the Part 2 video below).  Has anyone else experienced this or something like it?

Happily, Jon's empathy symptons are growing.  As of January 2nd Jon has gone empathy teetotal!
